Students who choose the English Journalism major will acquire dexterity in traditional and emerging media. All good writers begin as good readers: student journalists will steep themselves in literature so that they may begin to intuitively understand the standards to which they aspire. Our program emphasizes individual field-work as a primary vehicle, allowing students to cultivate their own interests as they learn all the necessary skills.
