The Student Services department and Students Association hosted AUIS Spirit Day on April 18, 2019 with a range of activities for the University community to show their school spirit.
The day started with a presentation of the winning submissions of the Spring Photography Competition. AUIS senior Hayas Ismail won first place for his photo submission of a group of bicycles on campus at sunset, and student Rebaz Majid received an honorary mention for his photo depicting a disabled boy learning to write in a classroom. Students then gathered for a group photo where they were arranged to make the letters A, U, I, and S.
After some celebratory cake, members of the Environment Keepers club and Students Association let a campus clean up, followed by a tree-planting ceremony with members of the University community.
