Inventors

  American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) and the Iraqi Forum of Inventors (IFI), in coordination with the Iraqi Cultural Media Center, hosted the 10th National Conference and Exhibition for Patents and Industrial Designs on February 6-7, 2019 at AUIS. Under the title, “Sulaimani Hosts Iraqi Inventors,” this the 2019 conference and exhibition featured a fair with 108 inventors from academia, and both the private and public sectors, from across Iraq and its Kurdistan Region, showcasing their projects. Inventors delivered presentations explaining their inventions and research findings on stage inside the conference hall as well as in the exhibition space outside the hall where they had the opportunity to meet with attendees, students, and other inventors. AUIS President Bruce Ferguson presented participating inventors with awards and certificates during the closing ceremony on the final day of the conference.
