Dr. Yaseen Ahmed, adjunct assistant professor from the Engineering Department, participated in a panel titled “Earth Cancer.” The event was held Wednesday October 3, 2019 as part of the 4th Slemani International Film Festival at the Grand Millennium Hotel. Other panelists were Sulaimani City Governor Dr. Haval Abubakir, and Australian filmmakers and environmental activists Jamis Lepree and Paul Heyller. The panelists discussed a range of global and local environmental issues and delivered recommendations on combating negative practices.
