AUIS Secures a Prominent Grant for Enhancing Entrepreneurship Education and Coaching Among its Staff and Faculty

Monday, June 26, 2023 - 02:00

Under the visionary leadership of the Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center (AEIC), AUIS has successfully clinched a distinguished grant from the esteemed German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD). This achievement enables AUIS to usher in groundbreaking training in entrepreneurship education and coaching for its faculty and staff, further solidifying its status as an epicenter of innovation.

Won in collaboration with notable partners Saarland University, Germany, and Hashemite University, Jordan, the grant will bolster the entrepreneurial support systems in Jordan and Iraq. This pioneering initiative, christened the "Ta'ziz Science Project," promises to be a beacon of opportunity and progress for future entrepreneurs in both countries. It extends from March 1, 2023, to December 31, 2025, and features an enriching curriculum of 13 distinct activities. These events, designed to inspire, empower, and educate, will take place across Germany, Jordan, and Iraq, fostering a multicultural exchange of ideas and learning.

The program will unfold in a series of milestone stages. It commences with an immersive field visit to Germany, which will be followed by the creation of an innovative online self-assessment tool to guide participants on their entrepreneurial journey. Building on this, interactive discussions and consortiums will be facilitated, with the objective of developing effective courses and entrepreneurial coaching guidelines. To enhance the impact of the project, large-scale conferences involving both university and non-university partners will be held to promote rich dialogue and share insightful findings from the project.

The AUIS delegation for this remarkable venture was carefully chosen through an open application process, inviting all staff and faculty to participate. A group of seven exceptional individuals was then selected by a committee, marking the onset of this transformative journey with internal and online kick-off meetings with our international partners.

This collaborative endeavor represents a monumental stride in enhancing entrepreneurship education and coaching in Jordan and Iraq, ultimately contributing to their socio-economic growth and innovation landscapes. For a more detailed understanding of the Ta'ziz Science Project and its multifaceted activities, we invite you to visit the AEIC website or reach out to the center directly.
