A Dialogue to Highlight the Future Inputs of Artificial Intelligence and Pharmacogenomics into Pharmaceutical Care Improvement

Pharmacognosy, Drug Discovery, Natural Products, Advanced Separation Techniques, and Pharmaceutical Biotechnology. Born in Iraq, Mohammed earned his bachelor’s degree (BSc.) in Pharmacy from College of Pharmacy, University of Baghdad in 1991). He later completed his master's 2009 and Ph.D. in pharmacognosy at the University of Sulaimani (UoS) in 2020. With over 32 years’ experience in community pharmacy and 15 years of teaching and research in pharmaceutical sciences. Dr. Mohammed has established a strong foundation in his field. During his career, Dr. Mohammed joined the Department of Health (DOH) in 1991 and served until 2001. He worked at the Teaching Surgical Hospital, General Hospital, Central DOH/Warehouse in various capacities, including clinical pharmacist, chair of the drug and therapeutics unit, and director of Drug and Medical Supplies department. Furthermore, he actively contributed as a member of the Security Council Resolution-986 coordination and follow-up committee at the Ministry of Health, Kurdistan Region-Iraq. In 2001, Mohammed joined the World Health Organization (WHO) as a national pharmacist, where he dedicated his expertise to improving healthcare services on a broader scale. He also co-founded and served as a member of the high council of the Kurdistan Medical Association and held the position of the chairperson of the Pharmacy branch-Sulaimaniyah from 1998 to 2003. Additionally, he served as the Secretary of the Kurdistan Medical Society, Sulaimaniyah branch from 1994 to 1998. In 2006, Sabir became a faculty member at the College of Pharmacy, UoS, and continued his academic journey until 2022. He assumed various roles within the college, such as the chairperson of the Department of Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, College Council member, and Vice Dean. His dedication to education and leadership led to him being appointed as the interim dean of the College of Pharmacy at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) in 2022. Dr. Mohammed has actively participated in numerous professional and academic organizations throughout his career. His contributions extend beyond his practical experience, as he has authored numerous publications and presented his research findings in national scientific conferences. Currently residing in Sulaimaniyah, Kurdistan Region, Iraq, Mohammed continues to contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical sciences and healthcare in the region.

Dr. Hemin Latif is an Educator and an Entrepreneur. He is Assistant Professor of IT, Director of Entrepreneurship & Innovation Centre (AEIC), and AI Maestro at AUIS. He is also the Founder and Director of Design at Agora Vision. Dr. Latif has extensive experience in the field of computing with international organizations such as the UN-WHO, Huawei Technologies, and the Centre of Innovation & Technology Exploitation (CITE) in the UK. He holds a BSc in Civil Engineering, BSc in Computing and Statistics and a PhD in Interactive Systems & Robotics from Nottingham Trent University (NTU) in the UK. When he is not occupied with teaching or administration, he rides his motorbike to get closer to nature and admire the amazing scenery that is in the backyard of our cities in Kurdistan.

Born in Iraq and currently live in Sulaymaniyah Kurdistan Region. Vian graduated from College of Pharmacy, University of Sulaimani (UoS) in 2009 and completed her master's 2014 at Hawler Medical University and Ph.D. in Clinical Pharmacy at the UoS in 2020. Vian has three years of experience in community Pharmacy and over ten years in pharmaceutical care practice and patient service, eleven years in pharmacy education and teaching, and finally eight years’ experience in research. She has published several research articles in Local and International scientific Journals. Despite her active role in the patient care process in hospitals, she is currently instruct undergraduates and postgraduates pharmacy students numerous subjects and modules, including Therapeutics, Hospital Ward Training, Advanced Clinical Pharmacokinetics and Therapeutic Drug monitoring with previous experiences in teaching Community Pharmacy, Pharmacy Practice Experience and Clinical Case Studies.
